Accommodation

In summer, accommodation in Bern is limited and typically more expensive. However, we have negotiated very attractive rates for various hotels covering various standards. Note that for each hotel a limited number of rooms is available. To profit from these special rates, you need to contact the hotels directly, either via email or by phone. Please read the information for each hotel carefully before booking. All given room rates are the special rates negotiated by us. A city tax of CHF 5.30 per booked night will be charged additionally. When booking, you need to mention the keyword "EWLA 2022" to profit from these special rates.

Important note: With any type of booked tourist accommodation, you will receive a travel voucher which will allow all guests to use the public transportation system in city Bern during their entire stay, completely free of charge! These vouchers are provided by the reception of the accommodation upon check-in, including the hotels mentioned below. While these public transportation vouchers should officially also be provided with accommodations booked via Airbnb, we observed recently that this is not always the case, so ask the holder of the apartments before booking. When booking an Airbnb accommodation that does not provide travel vouchers, costs for public transportation should be taken into account (a single-fare ticket costs CHF 4.60, a day-pass costs CHF 9.20).

Hotels IBIS Bern Expo, IBIS Budget Bern Expo and Novotel Bern Expo

The IBIS Bern Expo, IBIS Budget Bern Expo, and Novotel Bern Expo all belong to the AccorHotels group, and are situated at the same location. These three hotels cover various room standards and offer different rates, with rooms at Novotel offering higher standards in comparison to IBIS and IBIS Budget. The hotel complex is about 40 min away from the conference venue but is very accessible. A tram station is located directly in front of the complex and the trams brings you directly into the city center of Bern.

The hotel IBIS Budget offers single rooms and double rooms, regardless of the number of people occupying the room. Breakfast is included.
